Through psychotherapy, For A Better Tomorrow assists those who struggle with mental health issues. We provide a safe and confidential environment to help you explore and identify your emotions and behaviors, as well as situations that have impacts on your life. Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)

Focus is on a person's present and future circumstances and goals rather than past experiences. In this goal-oriented therapy, the symptoms or issues bringing a person to therapy are typically not targeted.

Play Therapy

Focuses on treatment that helps children and families to express their emotions, improve their communication, and solve problems. Play therapy capitalizes on children's natural ability to express their feelings and resolve conflicts through play.

Parts and Memory Therapy

The memories carried by Parts of the inner person are the targets for healing. Healing is done by visualizations that neutralize the emotional energy connected to the memories.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy is a psycho-social intervention that aims to improve mental health. CBT focuses on challenging and changing cognitive distortions and behaviors, improving emotional regulation, and the development of personal coping strategies that target solving current problems.

Eye Movement Desensitization

and Reprocessing (EMDR)

A phased, focused approach to treating traumatic and other symptoms by reconnecting the client in a safe and measured way to the images, self-thoughts, emotions, and body sensations associated with the trauma, and allowing the natural healing powers of the brain to move toward adaptive resolution.

Medical Depression

There are many individuals who go to the doctor's office and leave in confusion, scared and anxious. Many have support of family and friends who are able to assist with the news of the diagnosis of a chronic medical illness. Craig White found that, "patients with more negative views of their illness are more likely to be depressed" (2001). Many people who suffer with medical depression are not aware that there is help to assist them get through the sadness, emptiness and thoughts of giving up. Utilizing the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach, I assist those who suffer with medical conditions and chronic pain.


Major Depressive Disorder and Anxiety

Depression often comes with a profound sadness and emptiness about oneself and life. Common symptoms include (feelings of sadness, lack of energy, feelings of worthlessness, etc). Many of your basic functions such as (sleep, attention, appetite, energy) can be so impaired that daily life activities become painful to tolerate. Anxiety disorders are common and often accompany depression in adults. It manifests itself as repeated worries and concerns about the future. If untreated, anxiety disorders can lead to, or worsen existing depression. Through counseling and treatment, we are able to assist with building motivation, perspective and joy that you once had in your life.


Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, or PTSD, is a disorder that develops in some people who have experienced a shocking, scary, or dangerous event. Many stressful incidents can trigger the disorder and can occur at any age affecting children as well as adults. With the assistance of psychotherapy, we can work together to reduce the emotional and physical symptoms, to improve daily functioning, and to help better cope with the event that triggered the disorder.
