For A Better Tomorrow
HOW DO WE GET STARTED?
1. Call me for a free 15 min consultation!
2. Schedule an appointment over the phone or by email
3. Show up and get started!
WHAT HAPPENS IN THE PHONE CONSULT?
The free 15-minute phone consultation is an opportunity for you to ask questions and for us to talk about the concerns that bring you to therapy and whether or not I'll be the right fit for you. Then, if you wish to proceed, we can schedule your first appointment. Whether you have questions about therapy, would like to explore the possibility of working together, or are ready to book your first appointment, contact me by email, or call 702.426.4138 to schedule your consult. I will get back to you within 24 hours and usually much sooner.
WHAT HAPPENS IN THE FIRST SESSION?
The first session gives me the opportunity to get to know you and develop an idea of how to move forward. I’ll be interested in learning more about what has brought you to the office, what issues you’ve been facing, and how you’ve been coping so far. You’ll have the opportunity to ask any questions about me, my training and how we’ll work together. If it is your adolescent who is in need of services, we’ll discuss their history and current difficulties.
HOW LONG ARE SESSIONS?
Typically, I work with people in my practice once or twice a week for 50 minutes. Depending if you are using
your insurance, most insurances allot 45 minutes per session.
What are your rates?
If you are interested in cash pay instead my rates start at $110 and also offer sliding scale fee if applicable.
Payment is made at each session. You may pay by cash, personal check, or credit card.
DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?
Currently I am in-network with Medicaid FFS, Medicare Tri-Care and UHC; however,
I am currently an out-of-network provider with many other insurances. Most insurance companies cover a significant portion of the cost for “out of network” behavioral health services. Upon request, I can provide you with a monthly invoice that you can submit to your insurance company directly for reimbursement.
Please call your insurance provider to verify out-of-network coverage for outpatient mental (behavioral) health services.
Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:
1. Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
2. Do I have a deductible and has it been met?
3. How many sessions per calendar year does my plan cover?
4. How much will I be reimbursed for out of network providers?
5. What is the required documentation and to what address do I submit claims to?
If you choose to use your out-of-network benefits, you will be responsible for payment at the time of your session.
WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL?
If you need to cancel or make changes to your appointment, please contact me at least 24-48 hours in advance to avoid being charged the full session fee. Video or phone sessions may be substituted for in-person sessions if you are not able to be physically present, but do not wish to cancel the session.
ARE SESSIONS PRIVATE?
Your privacy and right to confidentiality are protected by the law. All communications between a client and a therapist are protected, with the exception of circumstances in which there is suspected child abuse or dependent adult/elder abuse, threat of serious bodily harm to another person, or threat of imminent harm to self. These exceptions are rare. If you are concerned about confidentiality, please bring it up with me so we can discuss your concerns further.
DO YOU PRESCRIBE MEDICATION?
I’m not a psychiatrist so I do not prescribe medication. I can make referrals to psychiatrists and other health care professionals should the need arise, and will work closely with members of your treatment team.
