For A Better Tomorrow
Hello and Welcome!
Hello and Welcome!
I am Yvette Howard, CEO and founder of For A Better Tomorrow which was established in 2018. I am a licensed clinical social worker who also works as a medical social worker in Las Vegas, Nevada. Since 2014, I have been working in social services in various hospitals in Las Vegas and currently work in a dialysis unit. In these positions, I advocate, assist, and educate patients and my colleagues. My inspiration of becoming a therapist led to the compassion and empathy I enjoy giving to those who are around me. After earning my Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, I then began my journey in using my compassionate and empathic skills by assisting individuals and families in rural Nevada as well as Las Vegas.
As a clinical therapist, I have supported as well as have experience in assisting clients age 3-72 years old, including families. I have experience in working with those who suffer from medical depression, major depressive disorder, PTSD, anxiety, substance abuse, ADHD and behavioral issues with children. Through Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), I now specialize in helping individuals with chronic medical conditions and pain leading to depressive symptoms. I have also received training in many other approaches to assist with those life challenges.
My therapy style is compassionate and empathic with a sense of humor. I enjoy discovering "what works" for my clients, and providing a steady, healing presence during hard times. I deeply value the relationship created in therapy and offer a safe, nonjudgmental, and collaborative space where you'll be accepted and welcomed just as you are. Our work together will enhance your natural curiosity and creativity, and support you on a journey to increased self-awareness, confidence, personal growth and fulfillment.
In my private practice, I will continue to further my passion for assisting and motivating others who struggle with life issues and situational events with sensitivity and compassion.
